Ashok Shah is a person of many facets, coming across as an able leader who steers his more than Rs 500-crore V-Trans Group with finesse. At present, he is the Chairman of V-Trans (India) Ltd.

He is also the Vice Chairman at JITO-FCP Byculla Chapter and the Vice President at Mumbai Pradesh Vaisya Federation. He also serves as the President of the Kutch Corporate Forum. Moreover, he is the Managing Committee Member of the Matunga Gujarati Club. He is on board of study at GNMIS (Khalsa College).

He is also the Ex-President of Bombay Goods Transport Association.

In 2010, Ceat India Road Transport awarded "Transport Personality of the Year" award to him.
He has represented the industry at communities like Federation of Associations in Maharashtra, Central Board of Direct taxes, Grain, Rice and Oilseeds Merchants Association and IMC.
